Tis the season!

So Christmas is just around the corner and I couldn't be happier! Our condo is finally decorated and our tree is up! My mother was nice enough to give me the decorations of hers that I have had my eye on for a while so I am extremely proud of how cute it looks! (picutres to come!) Kaydence is very excited about all the hustle and bustle going on around and I'm very excited for her first cognitive Christmas! We've gotten almost all of our shopping done and I can't wait to watch her open her presents on Christmas eve. I will be done with my fall semester of school on Tuesday and will be able to spend a lot more time with Kaydence, which is super exciting for me! We'll be taking her to get her pictures with Santa this week or next and will make sure to put them up as well!!

Thanksgiving!

As we all know, last Thursday was Thanksgiving, and while it wasn't Kaydence's first Thanksgiving it was definitely the first one she was able to actively take part in. She loved it! We spenT the first half of our 4 day weekend out at my parents house in Tomball. My cousins Amy, Sara, and Erin came with their husbands and children. Kaydence loved playing with the big boys, or trying to at least. (They weren't as interested in her as she was with them.) We spent the day of Thanksgiving like most of the country did, in the kitchen cooking. My Dad made his traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey and dressing (best dressing on earth by the way) and the usual sides. However this year we did things a little different and every guest brought an item. I made sweet potato casserole (a holiday favorite of Dallas'), green bean casserole, two pecan pies, a pumpkin cheesecake, and a rice krispie treats train upon Matthews request. It was great to get the family together and we learned the exciting news that Erin and Bill will be adding another member to their family by this time next year! I always forget how much i love the holidays until they're here. It was a great way to begin the end of the year and we can't wait till Christmas to do it all again! I will try to post pictures soon!
